Welcome to Ms. Tennant's website!

I teach 7th grade and 8th grade social studies at I.S. 318 in the Bronx, NY. My classes study America from pre-history to the present. We also engage in projects, lessons, and activities that target economics, geography, and civics. The links above will lead you to some helpful information if you are one of my students or if you are in 7th or 8th grade in New York City.

My purpose is to prepare my students for the challenges and opportunities that they will encounter as they become adults. I believe that with every freedom and advantage that we are given comes great responsibility. It is vital that my students master the reading, writing, and thinking skills that will empower them to make positive changes in their school, community, city, state, country, and world.

You can no longer reach me there, but I used to work at:

P.S. My little friend at the top of the page is Devil Duckie. You don't want to meet Devil Duckie, but I'll give you his email address (devilduck@mspoultney.com) in case you are crazy.
